                                                  Technology in Saxton Middle School


        There are some technology classes in Saxton Middle School. In the past, technology was hard work. There are alot of safety rules. There are due dates for projects. If there is a fire drill or a lock down drill, the students have to immediately stop working.


        In the present, there are general safety rules in technology. Students need to be safe around machines. Students are not allow to enter the lab unless the instructor tells you to. Students do not engage in horseplay in the lab. Students need to keep lockers and cabinet door closed at all times.


       In the future, there are clothing/protective equipment in technology. All students with loose clothing, jewelry and long hair must be either tucked in. Students need to use safety glasses to be worn whatever the situation requires them. Students uses motor driven equipment, portable or stationary. Students use filing, sawing, turning, chipping, shaping and sanding with wood.


      The most important, there are clean up and general maintenance in technology. Students must to keep the isles and floors clean and clear at all times. Students must return all tools/equipment to the storage. Each student will be assigned a clean up job. It is very important to students that any damage to tools equipment or materials must be worn.


       As a result, these are all the reasons why students should follow the safety rules in technology classes and in high school classes.
